As we know, the club was named after Guadalupe Martinez who was KIA in November 67. a lot of wild and crazy stuff happened in that bar and I expect we could write a book about those events alone. I was his replacement, on my way from working with the 4th ID LRRP company back to FOB-2 at Kontum. I was surprised at the way it happened but in the end it was a great assignment. Two of my team at Kontum came to join us and I really liked the Mike Force.
Sad note, Trevor Gulliver has passed and almost all the original Aussie component have gone too.
Still the bar did have moments of true adventure and I just wish I was the writer to collect and publish these stories!
